Installation:

N00Bs - Put the 'Void' folder into 'Warcraft III\Units\' folder, this will allow you to see the units properly in the WC3 World Editor (WE). (after this of course you have to change the model path to 'units\Void\[name]\[name.mdl]' ) However, this will not put it into your map. To get it into your map you must use an MPQ importer/exporter program to put the files directly into the map file (also into 'units\Void\etc') these programs, along with tutorials on how to use them, can be found at www.wc3campaigns.com. If you are having problems importing properly, plz talk to sombody there, instead of bothering me about it.

Experienced Modders - All units are in folders within the 'Void' folder (as you can see) The 'Void' folder goes into the 'Units' folder and you're set.

NOTE: no matter what units you are using, you must have the 'Void\Textures' folder included in the MPQ.

Information:
I strongly recommend reading the Void Army.txt file that is included. It explains a few details, stats, and what I had originally intended for some of the units.
note: some of the Unit Portraits may be a little screwed up. I apologize for this, but I don't have time to fix them up properly. If by some chance the person reading this has the skills and know-how to fix them, go ahead and do so. but plz email me(bottom of this readme file) so I can update the zip file and give proper credit.

If you use any of the units in this Pack please give credit to me, Sheyd.
My screen name at www.wc3campaigns.com is Sheyd. I no longer play WC3 on Battle.Net so if someone is using the name Sheyd there, they aren't me.
All models, skins, and icons were made by me (based on original Blizzard models) except for the following: Nightmare skin, Nightmare Icon, Keeper of Lost Souls Spell Icon - Which were all made by Alfredx_sotn a.k.a. Alfryd at www.wc3campaigns.com

any questions or comments can be emailed to me at antissiah@yahoo.com with 'Void Army' as the subject.

Thanks to Alfryd for the excellent help with the few things he did.
And many many thanks to everybody at www.wc3campaigns.com for all the help and the skills I learned there.

enjoy!

Listed here are recommendations and original intentions of what was planned for the Void Army. Of course it's not necessary for you to use these ideas, but I think for most of them it would be the smart thing to do.

Recommended Sound Sets:

Guardian of the Abyss - Night Elf> Spirit of Vengeance, (Also, under the field 'Art - Required Animation Names - Attachments' delete 'large' from the list. This makes stomping sounds when he walks, and since he floats, they shouldn't be there)
Void Lord - Undead> Obsidian Statue
Gloom Knight - Demon> Infernal
Keeper of Lost Souls - Night Elf> Faery Dragon

Black Guard - Night Elf> Mountain Giant
Nether Beast - Naga> Snap Dragon
Nightmare - Human> KnightNoRider
Dark Minion - Creeps> Nether Dragon
Netherlings - Critters> Skink
Broken Dream - Creeps> Giant Sea Turtle
Disciple - Creeps> Unbroken

Recommended Scaling Values(and Movement Hieghts):

Guardian of the Abyss - 1.80
Void Lord - 1.45
Gloom Knight - 1.35 (height= '-45.00')
Keeper of Lost Souls - 1.30 (height= '-45.00')

Black Guard - 1.50
Nether Beast - 1.28
Nightmare - 1.00
Dark Minion - 1.30
Netherlings - 0.50
Broken Dream - 1.00
Disciple - 1.00

Original Intentions:

Heroes- 4 of the units were designed to be heroes.  These are the Guardian of the Abyss{filename: Abyssmal Guardian}, the Void Lord{filename: VoidLord}, the Gloom Knight{filename: GloomKnight}, and the Keeper of Lost Souls{filename: KeeperOfSouls}
Obviously you don't have to use them this way or use the same names, but these are the only units that have a disabled button icon included.

Spells:
The main idea for the Void Army was that every one of them would have a spell that allowed them to teleport to any friendly unit. They were all going to be relatively slow moving except for the nightmare, which would act as a scout and allow whole armies to instantly teleport to where they were needed.

The Netherlings were planned to be a summonable unit, made from corpses by the Void Lord in the same way the Crypt Lord summons Scarabs. That's why it's a pretty simple unit and lacking in detail.

The Disciple was originally planned to have the ability for 2 of them to join together to make the Dark Minion. (this is why he has a helmet under his hood). The same way 2 templars could make an Archon in Starcraft.

Both the Nightmare and the Broken Dream were planned to be aura support units. Since they weren't going to be able to attack, the model files for both of them do NOT have attack animations.

I think that's it. I could go on to explain every single spell that I had planned for them, but I think you probably have your own ideas.
